LEFTOVERS

Something weird; Something wild.

19TH CENTURY
GAMBLING MACHINE

I rebuilt this beautiful 19th century penny gambling machine from the ground up. Everything from the wood cabinet to the brass plaques to the stainless steel mechanisms has been restored. It’s a large cabinet measuring about 3‘ x 2‘. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to make the mechanisms work as intended. It will probably take a professional gamer to fix the mechanics. Fabulous display piece! $995

1909 LARGE SHIP COMPASS

Fabulous electro-magnetic compass from a large ship c.a 1909, completely restored from top to bottom. This painstaking restoration produced a one of a kind historical collectors item. Rewired with LEDs, it highlights the large compass which was disassembled and scrubbed. Note the brass hood similar to an old divers mask. The heavy green and red steel balls are original. Even the wood cabinet was sanded down to original wood and stained and sealed with five coats of long lasting sealer. Mounted on casters for mobility. Of course the compass no longer works, but everything is original. Fabulous! Underpriced at $2995

1947 TIME MAGAZINES

Collection of 1947 TIME magazines bound in three volumes. Numbers of famous people decorate the covers, but perhaps none as important as Jackie Robinson. $295

STEERING WHEEL

This collection of 26 steering wheel knobs, or popularly known as “NECKER KNOBS,” features the highly collectible Marilyn Monroe nude. Mounted on a very early steering wheel and ready for display. $1495

ANTIQUE ELECTRICAL FAN

This large Emerson multi-speed electric fan has been professionally restored, and is completely functional. Very heavy and not very safe! $295

CIGARETTE VENDING MACHINE

Some collectors argue this 1928 Stewart and McGuire five cent CIGARETTE VENDING MACHINE is the finest ever made! This one features a neon sign on top which still works, as does the clock in the mirror! It has been professionally repainted and detailed in candy-apple red. Though the inside mechanics are functional, they need adjustment. Five cent packs of cigarettes are still on display in the window. Clearly for the discriminate collector seeking the very best. $9995

SHIP CAPTAINS DESK

Solid oak SHIP CAPTAIN’S DESK dates from about 1900, and is in remarkable original pristine condition. The key is missing, but everything else is intact. It measures about 2’ x 2’ and easy to ship. $395

ANTIQUE CHINESE DOWRY BOX

Difficult to date this antique Chinese DOWRY BOX, but it may go back to the 18th century. Handmade in great detail with many compartments. Oh, the stories it could tell! $395

ANTIQUE FOLK ART

Wonderful old antique FOLK ART from the turn of the 19th century. Marketers for SMITHS SHOWS created this wagon from scrap wood and it still holding together! The girly photos are treasures in themselves. Measures about 2‘ x 2‘. One of a kind. $350

ANTIQUE ROULETTE WHEEL

This brass and hardwood ROULETTE WHEEL is dated about 1900. The mechanism spins freely, and though there’s some damaged wood, it’s still in above average condition. Fun way to take your friend’s money! $395

19TH CENTURY MUSIC BOX

19th century MUSIC BOX is Austrian made somewhere between 1860 and 1890, the latter date probably being the most likely. It plays 10 songs perfectly. This engineering marvel is in remarkably pristine condition, even the woodwork. Europe’s finest engineers designed these machines to great precision. Historical and entertaining. Priced to sell quickly at $995

DR PEPPER WASTE CAN

I bought this early 1950s rare Dr Pepper waste can from the daughter of a man who owned a car garage here in Duncanville. I cleaned it, but it still has some scars and stains left over from decades of abuse. Great piece of American nostalgia, especially for a Garage collector. $395
